Dr. Mehboob Hussain is a Physician-Scientist His research focuses on Islets of Langerhans that produce the hormones, which are important for regulating blood glucose levels. He also treats patients with diabetes mellitus at the University of Michigan

Banya (Un Hui) manages the daily operations of the laboratory.

She is also the heart and soul of the lab, Everybody goes to her to be cheered up for the day!

Alex is and Undergraduate Student at the University of Michigan. With his tremendous energy, Alex has been involved in different projects in the laboratory. Whenever he is here, things just move a little bit faster. He belongs to the Mu-Epsilon-Delta fraternity and loves to cook! He will be on his way to medical school in a couple of years.

Mustafa is an Undergraduate Student at the University of Michigan. Mustafa's spirit lifts the lab whenever he is here. Mustafa is also on track to study medicine in a few years

Dan is an Honors Student at the University of Michigan, Department of Chemical Engineering. In the lab he is an allrounder who helps in all parts of the team work. He will be off to Medical School soon!

Erinn is a master in working with animal models that are central to the laboratory work. In her freetime she is also an expert juggler - who would have thought?
